Visual Task 4

We are required to draw the basic physical elements, such as;

Chair

Table

Upholstered Seating

 Storage

We need to use the boxes when drawing the elements to get the idea of the proportions, measurements, spacing and perspective in a composition.

Reflection:
I found out that by using the box drawing method make it easier to draw it out.

Assignment 1.1b:

My Six Chosen Item

My Sketch Drawing

Reflection:
It was difficult for me to draw it out without using any outline because I'm not used to it yet. It was challenging but it was a great experience, trying new style. It had been awhile since the last time I drew something and I realize my perspective is a little off but it turn out pretty well than I expected.

Visual Diary Task 2 -Tonal Values

Tonal Values
We were required to do tonal values with different type of shading;
Hatching - Repetition of parallel lines of the same direction
Crosshatching - Adds another series of lines from different different that cross the first set
Scribbling - Random lines
Stippling - Fine dots

The pencil range I used from left to right is H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B

Stippling

Hatching

Cross-hatching

Scribbling

Reflection:
Out of the 4, I think stippling is the hardest as it required a lot of patience. Different pencil produce different tonal values. By making more shading, it also creates more depth into it.

Visual Diary Task 1

We were required to draw objects based on the forms given

Cube

 Cylinder

Cone

Sphere

Combination
(Cone and Cylinder)
