Reason Why I Choose This Path As An Interior Designer

Interior design was never my first choice during my high school days. I was thinking about making into biology major medical school last time. However, I always had love making craft and drawing ever since I was in kindergarten. I’ve been drawing ever since I could remember, it was my hobby. However, during open enrollment day after high school, I survey the courses available between design and medical in a lot of different university, private and even government. By surveying and researching a lot about the courses, I was in a dilemma. My parents told me they doesn’t mind on which one I choose, as long I can do it and happy with my own choices. It took quite some times for me to decide but then I realize, biology is fun and interesting, however, design had always been my true passion ever since before. In the end, I chose to take design course which is something I love to do. Who isn’t happy working on something they love for the rest of their life?

During my foundation in design, I decide on taking Interior Architecture as my degree course rather than graphic course. Some people asked why, since I enjoyed drawing, they thought I will be taking graphic instead to gain more knowledge. The reason is because I never thought on making that as a career. Interior Design had always sparks my interest on how amazing a space can tell us, whether it’s more to comfy zone, working zone, chic and modern zone etc. One space is able to tell us a story, an emotion, its function and the characteristic of a person. How people able to design something beautiful yet practical is also amazing. I wanted to do something like that. I want to learn and design something to make people happy. When I see how people are happy with my work, I will be happy as well. I like designing and I want a space to leave a great impression to someone. A space that can be brought to life. There are still so many things to learn from my course and self-learning, I will be looking forward to that in the future.
