Target User For Simplicity Space

Target user for this simplicity space are usually in people the 20s.

This is due to the fact that simplicity interior design does not require too much furniture involving in the space itself. The less furniture, the better. For people in the 20s, who are not married yet and busy with their own career, this simplicity interior style is a good way to save more money, since furniture are not always cheap. This interior style also make it easier to clean and prevent from making the space more clutter. This simplicity style is mostly used in condominium residential, because of its small space, and this interior style will help to make the space more spacious than it is. Simplicity interior design is also easy to work it, as people don't have to waste time and thinking which colour and texture for the design. This style is very direct and fast, which make it easier for the people who are busy with their work life.

A great example user for this type of interior style is Taylor R
(born on 14 December, 1988)
She is a model, blogger, and YouTuber from Toronto, Canada.

During her time modelling in Hong Kong, she fell in love with the city and made it her new home. After working successfully in the market, Taylor saw an opportunity to elevate her career and moved to Tokyo.

She currently live in an apartment in the center of Tokyo together with her dog, Rosie.

She is constantly busy with her career, and she always keep her interior space design very simple and clean. Since apartment in tokyo aren't big and spacious, less furniture would definitely make it look more spacious, thus this is where simplicity comes in mind. Because she is a model, she always take extra good care of what she ate, such as vegan and gluten-free diet meal.

Aside from her modeling career, she also did vlogging video at Youtube, where she recorded her daily life and plans to share to her fans. She also did videos about life tips and etc. Her Youtube username is known as Taylor R テイラー

Her sense of fashion change quite frequently, so as for now, she is going towards feminine and elegant look.

However, at the same time, her style can look slightly tomboy-ish

The Business Model: If your modelling career ended tomorrow, would you stay in Tokyo, or would you move elsewhere?
Taylor R: Yes, I would stay in Tokyo. Right now I’m really in love with this city. I love the energy. I love the respect people have for one another and the things around them. The creativity is amazing. Also, the fact that anyone can wear anything or do anything they want here and no one will judge you or care is amazing. People often won’t even look at you because they’re so used to it and I love that. You can be whoever you want to be and do what you want freely. It’s also my favourite place to shop and eat. I could go pretty much anywhere here and find something I want to buy. I'm not sure if that’s a good or bad thing!

Taylor R is a great and cheerful person. I personally enjoyed watching her videos on youtube everyday. She seem like a fun person and I would love to see what she would do more in the future. Her video was enjoyable and its fun to see Japan lifestyle. I love Japan and their culture, I always wished that I would go to visit Japan one day, if I have the chances. As for now, I'm happy to see her video in different side of Japan. Japan indeed a beautiful country.  I wish Taylor R good luck with her career and stay beautiful always. xoxo <3

Local Interior Designer

In the previous post, I've talk about the my design inspiration style, which is simple, clean and modern. In this post, I will be showing some of my favorite local interior design in Malaysia.

Casa Tropicana by Pocket Square
This kitchen gave a sense of simple and clean into space with its mostly white and minor dark colour scheme with a little hint of a marble. It makes the space look spacious for the small kitchen. The contrast between the dark floor and bar stool really stood out from the overall white colour scheme.

Casa Tropicana by Pocket Square
I love how they keep it simple and clean to the living room. The wood panel from the wall and ceiling added a bit of texture into the space. This space look very refreshing and cool even when the weather of our country is usually very hot and humid every year.

La Costa by Pocket Square
This is my ideal work space for declutter room. How the natural lighting came in to brighten up the space and the color scheme make it look spacious. The wood flooring brings out the texture details into the space. The colour scheme for this room make it look very calming and refreshing. When a room is clean and simple, its easier to do work with any distraction.

TTDI Plaza by Pocket Square
I love the colour scheme for this space, its very minimalism. The black L-shape sofa and the coffee table really stood out in the space. It is a great contrast between the whole space, such as the floor, wall and kitchen. The grey wall on the right really gave some texture into the space.

Five Stone by paul+pris
This space gave a sense of simplicity with a hint of blue statement among the grey scale colour scheme. The blue colour that stood out in this space is the blue armchair on the right corner near the window. Nevertheless, the whole space looks chic and modern. The carpet design was a bit not to my liking but it still suit with the design of the space.

On of the local interior designer I admired is paul+pris
paul+pris was established in year 2008 by Pauline Ng and Priscilla Ng because of their shared passion for design. Since both of them graduated from UK, they had their skill been trained and experienced in overseas and also local architecture, international branding and interior design firm. The picture below are some of their interior design works.

Five Stone

Most of their design are simple and modern yet also bold with some of the choice of colour, For example, like the one of the 8 scape showroom, the bright blue colour is very bold and stood out in the space giving a sense of characters into the space. Other than that. paul+pris really like designing monotone colour scheme into their space, which is something I like as well. I would love to see more of their work in the future.

Why Designing Is More "Me"?

When it comes to designing, I love simple, clean and modern interior design. I'm always inspire to design a simple yet bold interior spaces. When people think about the word "simple", they will think the space would be boring and no uniqueness, however, the word "simple" can be more than that. It can give the sense of chic and elegant into the spaces. Bright colours, pattern and abstract is not the only thing that can show certain characteristic into the space. The pictures below are 5 example of interior design space I'd choose that define my simple modern designing style.
