Perspective

We were assigned to find 6 pictures with perspective (3 is for one point perspective and the other 3 is for two point perspective). with the pictures, we are require to indicate the vanishing point, horizontal line, ground line and such using different colour lines.

One Point Perspective

Two Point Perspective

Reflection:
I've learn about perspective during my foundation last yeat, so I was able to understand it more easily. I wasn't not aware of my surrounding before until I was taught about perspective. This had made me see things different and understand how it works.

Redang Island Field Trip

During our semester break, we had our field trip at the Redang Island.

On the 2nd day, we were assigned to draw any interesting element we could find in the island using hatching techniques. It took awhile for me to find what I want to draw but in the end I choose to draw the coral I'd picked from the shore near the resort.

On the 3rd day, we had a lecture about isometic axes and planes
and this were our task during the lecture.

A quick sketch of a table in plan, elevation and side elevation.

Some of the quick sketches we did based on the given lecture.

On the last day of our trip, we were told to do a sketchnote about the last day of the trip.

Architectural Materials Symbols

We were shown some plan, elevation, section layouts, symbols and more. We learned how to draw afterwards and we were asked to do the materials symbol.

Close Up Watch

We were told to do a close up drawing of an object, such as;
-Shoes
-Watch
-Leaf
-Dead beetle
-Cars

I choose watch for this task and this is my reference photo

This is my drawing, using hatching and cross hatching techniques

Reflection:
I realized that the propotion is a bit off in the end and I dont know how to fix it. It was hard since I'm hardly used the hatching technique while shading, I'm not really that happy with the outcome but I think I did a good work. I hope in the future I will be able to do it even better.

WaterColour

One day, we were told to bring a set of watercolour and brushes to class because they want us to explore the watercolour medium, as we will need to use it in the future later on. Since I'm always used watercolour as my main medium, it was easy for me.

We were told to draw something and watercolour it.
This is my random watercolour painting I did in class.

Reflection:
To be able to paint using the watercolour medium again for my assignment really enjoyable to me. I love mixing and creating new colour from it. I hardly use pen and watercolour to creat a certain effect, this has give me the opponity to explore more into it.

Sketch.Note

Sketchnotes are those rich visual notes created from typogrpahy/handwriting, drawing, shapes and visual elements.

The 6 fundemental of visual notetaking:
-Letters
-Bullets
-Frames
-Connectors
-Shadows
-Peeps

Our task for this assignments were to watch a movie and by using those 6 fundemental, we need to show what's it all about, for example, the synopsis of the story.
According to the majority of the class, the genre is comedy.

The movie I've choose for this assignment is The Pacifier(2005)

Based on the movie, this is my sketchnote.

Reflection:
To be honest, it was a fun assignment to do. By watching a movie, not only it was funny movie, it was actually a stress relief task, at least for me. It was a bit challenging to shorten the synopsis because I wanted to draw everything out on the paper (hahahaha). I tried my best to make it less crowded as possible, but easy to understand what's the movie is all about.  I feel like I could do it even more better. However, I am satisfied with it.

Orthographic Sketches

Before we were given our assignments of the day, we have to do a lucky draw to which object we will get. I gotten the letter "N"

After that, we were told to sketch the object in plan, elevelation(2) and 3D view.

Quick sketch to show our lecturer before doing the official one.

We measured the object by using a 1:50 scale.
